I am a lifelong genealogy hobbyist/semi-pro, who adheres to the professional standards of the field. Genetic genealogy is a core piece of my doctoral dissertation (in development), and in what little free time I have between school and my full time job in vocational rehabilitation is spent researching family history for family and friends - with a lot more diverse skill sets than I ever imagined I would be using.
