Hi, my name is Sheldon Juncker and I`m a programmer. :) While I love programming in general, there are two areas that I enjoy the most: Language development Web development I`ve played around a good bit with creating my own programming languages, and I got pretty far with a little toy language that I called Coal. I`ve used tools such as Flex and Bison, but I`ve also built my own lexers and parsers (although I doubt that they were very good). And for web development, I`m almost always working on some project related to PHP, JavaScript, CSS, or a combination of the three. In recent years, however, I`ve discovered that I enjoy working with web development technologies more than with web development itself. Creating web applications can get boring (but I still enjoy it) while creating tools used in web development doesn`t. I`ve had a lot of fun working on my own ORM and MVC tools in PHP. But you get the idea: I like programming. Not much of a surprise since you`re reading this on a website primarily for programmers. Apart from programming, there are a couple of other things that I enjoy: hiking and reading. Fortunately, the two can usually be combined. (If there was a way to program during hiking trips, I`d be set!) I`ve done a lot of hiking on the Appalachian Trail and at some point I would like to begin a northbound through-hike of the trail. Technically, it won`t be a through-hike because I`ll skip the first ~250 miles which I`ve already hiked. If you ever meet me out there on the AT, my trail name is Jundar. I also read a lot of books (even ones that aren`t on programming). I`ll ready just about any good book, but I especially enjoy works of Fantasy/Science Fiction or books about theology and philosophy. C.S. Lewis is a favorite author of mine, both for his theology and fantasy. Apart from that, there isn`t really all that much interesting about me. (And that`s assuming that you found this interesting! ;) EOF
