AMY FUNG is an academic who published a paper in 2004 entitled The UBC Farm : essential to the sustainability of the food sytem at the University of British Columb. AMY FUNG published this work as part of a team: Cesar, Laureen. Here is a description of this work: This paper is an integrative document aimed at improving the sustainability of the food system at UBC. More specifically, this paper looks at the role the UBC Farm can play in improving the sustainability of the greater UBC food system in which it plays a part. In order to do this, we have identified a core set of values to guide our investigation, developed a model, created methods of data collection, and finally, made recommendations to the UBC office of Campus Sustainability. Our recommendations emphasize the connections between the ecological, social, and economic components of the food system at UBC, and give equal weight to each component. Furthermore, this document is cognizant of the fact that in order to achieve overall sustainability within a system, every component itself must be wholly sustainable. It is the hop.
