Hi! I’m 55 years and did coding over 30 years ago. I enjoyed it but I couldn’t pursue it further. About 2 years ago, I decided to rebuild my career as a software developer and I tried hard to grow as a Jr developer. Most of my friends have told me it`s too hard to start a career at my age, but I am saying that age is just number and I have really wanted to work in programming field for long time. My first programming experience was about 30 years ago. I had a chance to learn dBase IV while I involved as a job analyst to build a POS system for sneaker business. After that, I developed software applications for a wholesale business to control inventory and dry cleaner operating systems. Unfortunately, I had to stop my coding job and find work elsewhere to support my family after I failed to get a working visa. In 2015, I finally received my green card. Then, I was free to pursue the career I really wanted. At the end of 2016, with the encouragement from my kids, I decided to restart my programming career and pick up from where I left off for 20 years. I began to use every medium I could find to teach myself coding. I learned Java, Python, Flask, Data Structures and Algorithms using a mixture of Udemy, YouTube, and Collegiate courses. More recently, I`ve studied HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, GraphQL, MongoDB, NodeJS(Express.js and, socket.io), TypeScript, Angular, Ionic, NgRx and e2e testing. I enjoy everything I study and learn well. I`m not afraid of a challenge and want to continue to improve. Take a look at my resume or my github() to see more on what I`ve worked on. I think with my abilities of strong problem solving and teaching myself even through difficulties and my attitude working diligently will be a great match with your company. Thank you for your time and consideration.
