I am retired special education teacher as of July 2017. From 1980 to 2001 I played guitar and sang in working bar and club bands at gigs across southern California’s Mojave Desert. My day jobs were driving various delivery trucks full of heavy welding supplies, compressed gases, diesel and gasoline, propane, and more across the southwestern Mojave. While driving school buses, I went back to school at night, earned several degrees and teaching credentials, and taught young kids for about 20 years. Now I do what I want and adventure with my wife of 33 years on the backroads and byways of my amazing desert. My dad was a Disney animator and I was born across From Disney Studios. We weekended up here in the Antelope Valley Next to the Angeles National Forest on the south side of the San Gabriel Mountain range. I’ve been living on my 2 plus acres here in Pinon Hills, “Where the desert meets the mountains,†since 1979, and will probably die here some day.
