My name is Ryan, I`m 33 years old, and about two years ago I decided I was tired of waiting tables and was ready to make use of the intelligence I always knew I had, so I got my GED and picked Software/Web development as a career path. Even though I haven`t been coding long and I have a way to go, I can honestly say that I`ve fallen in love with just learning about it so far. So I only did one semester at the local community college, but in that semester I took Intro to Programming and Logic that I totally aced and really enjoyed because it showed me how I had a knack for understanding it and it just demystified programming in general and gave me some foundations to use for learning on my own. This course gave a brief overview of HTML and focused mainly on PHP. So I`m currently teaching myself. I`m about halfway through an online Web Developer course by one of my favorite coder youtubers, Stefan Mischook, and I`m also working through JavaScript Programming by Head First. I`m excited to be starting a new career and life for myself.
